Ryan Gautreaux
Researcher, Editor, and Actor in Atlanta
Communication researcher, editor, and SAG-AFTRA eligible actor based in Atlanta. I hold a Ph.D. in Communication from Georgia State University, where my research applies computational methods to understand how misinformation spreads and how to correct it. I serve as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Global Perspectives in Communication and Media, and I'm a 2026 Global Leadership Fellow with the World Affairs Council of Atlanta. My work spans four continents, from keynotes in Nigeria and France to conferences in Morocco and Colombia. I also build open-source NLP tools for media research, and I act in film and television.
