Sophie Mark

Welcome! My name is Sophie Mark, and I am an Advertising/Public Relations and English double major at Loyola University Chicago.

My main focus right now – and the main focus of this blog – is learning from practical experience. I’m someone who loves to write, so as I seek out internships, conversations, and projects that give me a glimpse into this world, this site is a way for me to share some of those experiences while gaining real-world skills like managing a website.

What experiences have I had that are worth writing about? Some of the ones I’d list so far include my marketing internship for a small educational services company, managing social media and doing media relations work with Loyola's Marketing & Communications division, and promoting and staffing Fine and Performing Arts events through Loyola’s Box Office. My goal is to gain a broad base of interdisciplinary knowledge that will allow me to work with people and organizations in every field. I hope to be able to communicate their ideas to people with whom they will resonate, and so help those ideas become realities.
