Sue Batson
niagara-on-the-lake, ontario canada
Bio:
After earning concurrent degrees in Fine Art and Art History from Sheridan College and the University of Toronto, she interned in Silicon Graphics’ marketing department. She studied Computer Animation at night, but drawing, painting and photography continued to be a daily part of her life.
For over twenty years, Sue continued to develop a unique abstract style, experimenting with different mediums and materials. Using handmade Japanese paper, leather, fabric, plaster, acrylics, latex paint, pastels, and crayon, she crafts works that vibrate with colour.
For fifteen years, she's been immersed in the Niagara wine industry. Specializing in depicting bottles, my clients encouraged her to take it a step further and seek a career in wine.
Volunteering for the Niagara Wine Festival, PondView and Between the Lines wineries while pursuing her education complemented extensive experience in customer service and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Still drawn by technology, she brings extensive practical experience on multiple social media platforms. Engaging people in meaningful dialogue, sharing information and empowering others to do the same is her social media goal.
