Sean Ferguson

Hey, I’m Sean. I am from a rural area of Syracuse and currently attend Syracuse University for Music Industry. Since I was young, I've had an interest in creating a product. Whether that be music, art, or some sort of tangible medium, I've always gotten immense pleasure out of creating and expressing myself. My primary instrument is drum set. I enjoy playing all genres from Latin to Gospel and everything in between. Over the past 10 years I've played gigs for Bud Light advertisements, at Nascar races, under roller coasters, and many more bizarre places.

Lately my focus has shifted more towards music production, after learning the basics of music theory in high school. I've always had a strong interest in graphic art but have never been very good at it, so I see music production as a way for me to paint pictures through an auditory medium, sometimes basing tunes off nothing but an image in my head that I'll work on day and night until I get it right. My wide appreciation for music has given me the chops to write in the styles of everything from film themes to mainstream pop anthems. Many times these styles will blend into some unique Frankenstein-like song.

The most important thing for me is that I am happy with what I have made. As long as I've done that I know I've succeeded, without any yearn to release it to the world for the acceptance that many chase. I still feed my hunger for performing through my Band, FLOTUS, who recently went on a tour across the country. This was a journey that taught me not only the basics of how to live out of a car, but how to work well with others under pressure and on-the-fly problem solving.
