Being only eighteen years old, I have found it particularly difficult to conceive a single topic on which to write that would accurately encompass my experience of life so far. Because of this, I feel that it would be more practical to write on my current passions and what my plans and desires for the future consist of, hopefully painting an overall more accurate picture of myself.

History has long been the subject in which I am most interested; it has captivated me from a very young age. Currently, I am majoring in history with a minor in classical culture. Being in college and having access to so many focused history classes has brought me great enjoyment over the past two semesters, and my greatest desire for this period in my life is to participate in a study abroad program through the history program, preferably somewhere in Europe where I can be exposed to monuments and artifacts much older than anything found in the United States. In the future, I would love to be able to attend the University of Georgia’s law school, and afterwards I am interested in moving to or spending a year or two in an older city on the East Coast, perhaps Boston, Philadelphia, or Washington D.C. I also hope to be able to travel extensively; I would like to see as much of the world as possible.

While I have many other hobbies and interests (knitting, reading, etc.), history will always be my greatest passion, and it is for that reason that I have chosen to try and steep my future life and career in it.
