I am currently interested in designing for metacognitive learning environments. I'm also interested in how mobile sensors can engage citizens to reflect about their environment.

I love witnessing moments of cooperation and participation. I believe that learning happens in these interstices of the individual and the collective, and it is fundamentally experiential.

Working from a data-driven design perspective, I have researched and designed online learning strategies such as knowledge mapping, social learning analytics, adaptive instruction, and learner dashboards designed to assist the student in creating a more personalized learning environment.

On my days off, you can find me climbing mountains with my lover and my dog.
