I am interested in people, possibilities and finding solutions that make things better. As the vice president of talent at Rare, I get an opportunity to work with staff, donors and partners who embrace the idea that people can change their behaviors to care for and protect the environment in imaginable ways with less than it seems possible. My primary responsibility is to act as the designer, implementer and custodian of Rare's culture and ensure that it is instilled throughout the organization in way that improve performance. I am responsible for all organizational design and development, as well as attracting, developing and retaining the best talent for Rare.

I earned my MBA from the George Washington University where I focused on social responsibility and completed an entrepreneurship project on sustainable social responsibility in business. Since then, I have applied a social responsibility lens to the human capital field, where I have worked as a management consultant, and a product designer for the past 15 years. I believe that managing a business is about investing in people, protecting the environment, and generating the revenue to meet your targets.

I focus my energy on creating workplace communities where people experience work as a productive, enjoyable and fulfilling time in their lives. I believe in employers that understand that work is a part of life and that relentlessly demonstrate so in their actions. I am interested in investing in people since we are accountable to care for ourselves and those we come in contact with, for the environment we live in, and for laying the foundation for a better future each day.
