EDUCATION:

- Did my graduate work at the Forman Christian College, Lahore (Pakistan) and received my first Master's degree in Sociology from the Punjab University, Lahore in 1958 with distinction;

- Obtained my post graduate Diploma of Ekistics from ATI, Athens, Greece in 1961.

- Had my second Master's degree in Urban Planning, from Univ. of California at Berkeley, in 1963-64; and

- Had my third Master's degree in Demography from Chicago Univ., Chicago, in 1965-67;

- Was a Fulbright Scholar twice at the Univ. of California at Berkeley & Univ. of Chicago at Chicago 1963-64 & 1964-65.

- Also, had UN Student Internship (USA 1968).

- have taught at several universities in the U.S. and Canada.

- Had been associated with several research agencies including Social Sciences Research Centre, at Punjab University; Doxiadis Associates, Athens, Greece; Univ. of Chicago; Institute for Behavioral Research at York University (Canada); Institute of Society, Ethics & Life Sciences, Hasting-on-Hudson, New York and Ontario Institute for studies in Education, Toronto, Canada.

- Have several publications to credit which include Reasons for Plant Closures in Ontario, 1986-1991, (1993); Labour Market Experiences of Recent Immigrants to Canada (1976); The Development of Improved Bases for Forecasting School Age Population Throughout Ontario, (co-Author) 1978; and Why People Move from Northwestern Ontario (1977).
