Curriculum Designer and Educator in Manatee County, FL

Hi! I'm Sabrina Yare (Clippard) Hornyak, an experienced educator living in the Sunshine State where you'll almost always find me smiling!

Interests:

· Aspiring Yogi

· Nature explorer

· Amateur photographer

· Travel junkie

· History nerd

· Household Jeopardy champ

· Organizer extraordinaire

· Design enthusiast

Goals:

I’m fascinated by history and impressed by artistic talent. (Plus, I love the aroma of vintage books!) Now, couple that with my profound passion for education and it’s no wonder why I chose to pursue a Master’s in Library and Information Science. My ambition is to transition from the classroom to corporate America.

Experience:

For the last 20 years, I've taught several subjects to children of various ages throughout the globe. Whether face-to-face in a traditional brick and mortar setting or online, I have consistently earned the title of Highly Effective Teacher. My career path provided me with excellent techniques for conveying ideas in spoken, written, and digital forms, building relationships, and motivating those around me.

Bio:

I was born in Los Angeles, though raised in Tampa, and I can proudly call myself a first-generation American. My father was born in Naples, Italy and my mother originates from Cambridge, England. From an early age, my parents instilled in me a strong work ethic, an appreciation for traveling abroad, and a devotion to life-long learning.

Education:

I attended the University of South Florida where I studied Broadcast Journalism. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Mass Communications and a Minor in Communication. Not long after, I also earned my Teaching Certificate and became licensed to teach grades K-9. I also obtained my Master's in Library and Information Science.
