sabrina aloueche

Sabrina trained at the highly sought after Sylvia Young Theatre School and completed further theatrical training at Mountview Academy Of Theatre Arts. Sabrina’s television career began as a child. By her teens she had appeared on shows such as Billy Elliot, 999 Reconstruction, Casualty, The Bill and Grange Hill. Aloueche’s training and personal vocation took her further away from television as she began to delve deeper into theatre which allowed her to showcase both her acting ability and her vocal range. Aloueche has played two characters in two London productions of Les Misérables, firstly Young Cosette at the Palace Theatre and then, and to critical acclaim and a fan response, she played the part of Eponine at the Queen’s Theatre where she was also cast to play the same part in the 21st anniversary show that was recorded for a BBC radio broadcast. In 2008, Aloueche began her run as Scaramouche in Ben Elton and Brian May’s We Will Rock You. This is a role that she is best known for playing, due to her comic timing and voice. The Stage newspaper described Sabrina’s performance as vital by saying, ‘Sabrina’s Aloueche’s Scaramouche provides the lynchpin to the whole show…She is far stronger than her male lead’. Her level of awareness and her ability to conjure up subtle wit-laden performances demonstrate her ability to inject her own vital sense of sharp humour into her roles, and The Stage, once again, believes that it is Aloueche's input that crafts a sense of involvement with the audience, ‘[Sabrina has] a line of deprecating humour that encourages the audience to laugh along…’ For Aloueche, her career in theatre is only just beginning. Her performances in Les Misérables and We Will Rock You have solidified a lifetime on the stage for a young lady whose acting ability and voice continue to grow along with her personality that becomes crucial to any role and production she is cast for.
