I am of British Celtic ethnicity, with roots in England, Ireland, and (much earlier) Brittany.

I have a passion for exploring countries and cultures, especially by means of railway journeys. Of my many hobbies and passions, railways are the oldest, particularly the narrow gauge. I adore long train journeys.

I am fascinated by the mystical and the spiritual, and by the common tendency towards spirituality in all cultures. I am a person of faith.

My other passions include my family, my godchildren, dogs (especially my own), music, history, dining, and spending time with my children.
