Sachin Gopal

My name is Sachin Gopal and i was born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. My mom and dad struggled initially but made it to so called “middle class” family. I was always in awe of entrepreneurs and when asked of my dream job as a kid would say “Wannabe Businessman” though sometimes I would replace that as marketer

I started my first company TechSolutions when i was eighteen in our second home with three of my other friends who had a strong presence in programming community. We were fairly successful and made some money. Lack of alignment between us caused a split. In 1992 I saw a magazine stating Linux as the next OS. I tried installing it and after several unsuccessful attempts had it running. Over the years I painstakingly mastered most areas around it.

Being an early adopter this skill helped me in providing consulting to small firms when I moved to Bangalore in 2003 helping me make a living out of Linux. Later as consultant/full time, I worked with some of the top multinational companies like HP, DELL, Hinduja, Xen and iGATE .

I currently head IT for a firm in Bangalore and help startups thrive with minimum infrastructure. I am digital marketer and a specialist in developing strategies for small-medium business. You can know more about me at www.sachingopal.com. See you on the other side.
