Sadia Latifi

Writer, Editor, and Content strategist in San Francisco, California

I'm a content strategist, creative manager and freelance writer based in San Francisco, CA. Right now I lead content strategy for Airbnb Experiences. Before that, I was at Pinterest, leading creative and writing. Even before that, I was at The Barbarian Group working on projects for GE, Bloomberg Philanthropies and Samsung.

I started my career at The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C. as a staff writer covering politics, education, and crime in Chapel Hill, Durham, and western Wake County.

My writing has appeared in the Columbia Journalism Review, GOOD, iVillage, New York, Psychology Today, Columbia Daily Spectator, and in hundreds of publications worldwide through the Knight Ridder and McClatchy-Tribune wire service.

In March 2010, I was named honorable mention to the Walter Spearman Award for young journalists for this story. In the same year, I also won a second place education writing award from the N.C. Press Association for this story. I'm a former Knight Ridder Scholar and Al Neuharth Free Spirit Award winner.
