Sadia Mehmood is a STEM student with a passion for all things innovative. As a prospective primary health practitioner, she is committed to addressing health equity and disparity by closely examining the social determinants of health.

At Ryerson University, Sadia currently works as the Lead Science Mentor for the Tri-Mentoring Program while also serving as the elected senate representative for science students. In the past, she has helped facilitate the RySciMatch/CKIH200 science mentorship course with the Chang school, helped co-found two student groups, and helped lead several others. Outside school, Sadia has strengthened her analytical skills by publishing two papers with a clinical endocrinology research team at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Sadia's experiences during her time at Ryerson have been featured in a variety of communication platforms by the university. Following graduation, Sadia aims to work in clinical research for 2 years before proceeding with professional school to pursue a career in healthcare. Sadia is actively seeking post-graduation employment opportunities.
