I am a contemporary Jeweller Designer and Maker.
From simple objects to sculptural body pieces my work combines an interest in exploring the boundary between art, jewellery and fashion.
It is the blurring of boundaries between these disciplines and exploring the notion of 'what is jewellery' that truly inspires my work.
This synthesis of ideas are developed and translated in my work through line, form and colour. Unconventional and varying in size and structure, each piece is an expression of sculptural form and is designed to make a statement.
I am a great enthusiast of materials and processes and as a result have developed a process to create my own material from paper and resin. I love the alchemy that occurs, as the process of transforming something ordinary like paper and resin into something extraordinary to touch and adorn!
All my work is hand cut and crafted to a high quality, each piece undergoes a special laminating and carving process that I have developed in the last few years. This creates unique patterns and colour combinations. As a result each piece is one of a kind!
