Sadie Cowen

I'm Sadie, final year BA Hons Dance degree student at the University of Surrey. My training was mainly in ballet growing up but I also took classes in other styles. I'm now studying contemporary, African/contemporary, bharatanatyam and ballet on my course and I'm also part of Surrey Dance Squad. In second year I was on the Ballet and Jazz teams and this year I'm on the contemporary team.

I did my placement at Pavilion Dance South West in Bournemouth last year, working as their Youth and Education Coordinator. I teach dance in Guildford so I already knew that I love working with young people but I particularly loved being able to provide opportunities in dance to young people who may not otherwise get the chance. I found a passion for events management and have decided that this is what I want to be doing in the future.

I've always been passionate about music. I can play the piano and I love going to festivals and concerts!

I'm excited to collaborate with a group of artistic and creative people that will all add something different to the work.
