Saeed Omidi
Researcher, Biology, and Programmer in Lausanne, Switzerland
I’m currently working as postdoc in Felix Naef‘s lab at EPFL, Lausanne in Computational Systems Biology. I finished my PhD in Bioinformatics in 2014 from Biozentrum, University of Basel, where I developed a novel Bayesian approach for transcription factor binding sites identification. My work mainly involves in designing and developing statistical and machine learning algorithms for understanding large-scale genomic data. In brief, this includes studying mammalian gene expression regulatory networks, single cell stochastic gene expression, temporal and circadian aspects of gene expression etc.
I always welcome an opportunity for scientific collaboration over interesting biological question.
