Saera Hanlon

Amherst, MA

I'm studying Managing Mission Driven Organizations at Marlboro Graduate and Professional Studies! Summer 2015 is my third term.

Last summer I worked for the Massachusetts Audubon Society at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary. I was an environmental educator at the day camp. During the school year, I'm a Math Fellow in Springfield, helping middle school students improve their grade math skills.

I studied bio-cultural anthropology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. During the Spring of 2011, I studied Sustainable Development and Social Change in Rajasthan, India, where I did independent research on how rural villages there are taking responsibility for development of their resources and abilities.

Board games like Catan are a great way to spend time with friends. I love getting my hands dirty in the garden or the woods. I also love a solid night of contra dancing!
