Safa HAJJAJ

Safa is a woman entrepreneur operating in Handcrafted Candles sector.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing in 2007, from the Ecole Nationale de Commerce et Gestion - ENCG - of Settat, in Morocco.

Safa started her career working in Public and Press Relations before joining Nielsen Company as Consumer Research Executive, managing regional projects mostly of big FMCG and Telecom companies in North Africa.

Safa worked in Turkey for a couple of years within Turkish companies in Automotive and FMCG as International Business Developer at their Export Department.

While working as Citizenship and Public Affairs Coordinator for Microsoft Middle East Africa and Pakistan, based in Istanbul/Turkey, Safa supported over fifteen local teams reaching their goals in empowering nonprofit organizations and youth through technology.

Back to Morocco, Safa started her own social venture "SaFaTra", in October, 2012, to support the beautiful Moroccan Handcraft, especially Candles, in reaching international markets.

Safa is a member of Junior Chamber International (JCI) since 2009, a worldwide organization of young leaders and entrepreneurs that provides young people with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and networking opportunities necessary to create positive change.
She is currently Vice-President of Affairs, Partnership and International Relations of her local committee of Marrakesh, and represents JCI at Marrakesh’s Regional Counsel of Human Development.

Through all these experiences, she developed strong regional project coordination, networking and coalition skills and team leadership skills. Safa enjoys focusing on the topics of entrepreneurship, economy development and has a strong passion for capacity building.
