Safa HAJJAJ

Marrakesh, Morocco

Safa is a 29yo woman entrepreneur operating in Handcrafted Gifts & Home Decor sector, who has four years of experience in the nonprofit sector, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing in 2007, from the Ecole Nationale de Commerce et Gestion - ENCG - of Settat, in Morocco.

While working as Citizenship and Public Affairs Coordinator for Microsoft Middle East Africa and Pakistan, in Istanbul/Turkey, she supported over fifteen local teams reaching their goals in empowering nonprofit organizations and youth through technology.
Back to Morocco, Safa started her own social venture "Safa Fair Trade", in October, 2012, to support Moroccan artisans and cooperatives in reaching international markets.
Previous to that, Safa was working in Casablanca within Nielsen Company, the worldwide leader of Marketing Reaserch as Consumer Research Executive for 2 years, where she managed several corporate accounts and projects in North African countires. Safa worked also at the beginning of her career as Public Relations Junior Project Manager, at L'Agence RP in Casablanca.
Safa is a member of Junior Chamber International (JCI) since 2009, a worldwide organization of young leaders and entrepreneurs that provides young people with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and networking opportunities necessary to create positive change. She is currently Vice-President of Affairs, Partnership and International Relations of her local committee of Marrakesh, and represents JCI at Marrakesh’s Regional Counsel of Human Development. Through all these experiences, she developed strong regional project coordination, networking and coalition skills and team leadership skills. Safa enjoys focusing on the topics of entrepreneurship, economy development and has a strong passion for capacity building.
