Safdar Mustafa

Safdar Mustafa is based in Doha, Qatar where he spearheads Al Jazeera's Mobile Media strategy. In this role he is responsible for utilising mobile media to broaden audience use, distribution and engagement with Al Jazeera content.

Part of his role also deals with Al Jazeera's major mobile media initiatives and services such as their mobile websites, applications and widgets for a range of different platforms. He also lead a successful trial and subsequent deployment of a Mobile Reporter solution by working together with Al Jazeera's newsrooms, websites and award winning international reporters.

He has presented workshops to Al Jazeera's reporters and newsrooms staff on the subject of Mobile Field Reporting. He is also a regular speaker at industry events and has spoken around the world on mobiles and media, including the UK, France, Netherlands, South Africa, Jordan and Hong Kong.
