Mustafa Ghashim is a versatile professional with over a decade of experience in civil society, social work, education, engineering, and technology. He is currently pursuing a PGCert in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Liverpool, holding a Master’s degree in Peacebuilding and Reconciliation from the University of Winchester and a B.A. in Electronic Engineering from Aleppo University. Mustafa’s background combines technical expertise and leadership across multiple sectors, applying his knowledge to solve challenges in diverse environments.

Mustafa's civil society journey began in 2011 as a volunteer, supervising a psychosocial support program for families affected by conflict. In 2016, he was recognized by the British Council as a facilitator for the Active Citizenship Program, where he led workshops on peaceful coexistence and joined the “Building Bridges of Peace” facilitators’ network. Over the past eight years, he has delivered more than 50 capacity-building workshops and accumulated over 1,500 hours of training for youth and civil society members in Syria. He has also coordinated various projects with CSOs and provided valuable consultations to NGOs, while overseeing five teams of facilitators to help them grow and enhance their skills.

As an educator, Mustafa’s experience includes developing training programs for civil society organizations and teaching software design, web development, and AI at Nottingham Trent International College. He leverages his academic background and practical experience to make complex technical concepts accessible to learners. Fluent in Arabic and English, with conversational skills in Turkish, he excels at working in multicultural environments and motivating students from diverse backgrounds.

Mustafa’s commitment to global citizenship and human rights is further reflected in his participation in international peacebuilding and transitional justice events, including conferences in Geneva, Denmark, the Philippines, Lebanon, and Turkey. With a passion for applying technology to solve real-world problems and a dedication to fostering personal growth, Mustafa continues to make a meaningful impact in every role he takes on.
