Suraiya Afrina

Suraiya Afrina is a student journalist at Stony Brook University. She is expecting to graduate with a B.A in Journalism and Political Science in the fall of 2014.
She has also worked for the Stony Brook’s local radio station WUSB News, where she reported and edited stories on a weekly basis. She also has experience working behind and in front of a broadcast camera, since she is taking broadcast reporting classes at Stony Brook University.
Most recently, Afrina has produced stories about High School Basketball team fillied with promising African born players and Stony Brook Ice Hockey team.
She has also produced some multi media work such as video slideshow on an Italian Barber and an audio slideshow on a Pet Groomery place in Stony Brook area.
Afrina has interests ranging from covering sports to politics and hopes to work in television.
