Born in Mbozi-Mbeya slums over 30 years ago. Mr. Mgalla went through Tanzania education system in a journey that culminated in his graduation in 2011 with Bachelor degree in Information Systems at st. Joseph University in Tanzania. He holds Masters degree in Monitoring and Evaluation from The Open University of Tanzania that has widen his knowledge to understand not only how better project development panacea can be contributed by MEAL4ICT, ICT4D but also how it seeks to keep monitoring and evaluation a better plea to program development. These qualifications, his personal abilities and the hand of God moulded him for an illustrious career in IT auditing/database administrations and monitoring and evaluation profession. The highlight of his career includes working more than 7 years with different international Non Governmental organization(NGO)(IRC,JSI,CRS,IITA) as MEAL and data management specialist where he has proven results to lead multiple programming areas(Nutrition, WASH, Education, Livelihood, Child labor, HIV/AIDS prevention and care & treatment, Maternal and Child health, Family planning programs, Most Vulnerable Children care, Youth entrepreneurship, employment and Gender empowerment Agriculture, child labour) to realize impact. he vests in several international experience in carrying out and implementing efficient organization M&E systems & data management.

Mr. Mgalla is currently serving as Manager, Data/Monitoring and Evaluation at International Institute of Tropical Agriculture in Eastern and Southern Africa for the Africa RISING project that aims at transforming African agriculture through actionable research; He is a story for someone who started off in a disadvantage environment but through dedication,hard work and strong desire to achieve set goals, overcame life bottlenecks to become one of the Tanzanians most respected young leaders and with story to tell like any other who came before him.
