Sagar Shukla

Native Charlottean and Junior studying Economics at the oldest public university in the nation. You can usually find me performing with UNC Bhangra Elite around campus and the country. Several of my proudest moments have been connecting with audience members on stage in Vancouver B.C., Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, P.A., and other cities where we've competed and performed. I also dabble in improv comedy, acting, and filmmaking with aspirations to continue evolving as an artist (and be in a movie).

My favorite travel experiences inlcude spending a month backpacking through the Wyoming wilderness, exploring Bolivia from the Andes to the Amazon, and most recently, scuba diving in Borneo. Next on my list is doing a tour of my motherland via train. There is no other way to experience India.

A deepening interest of mine has been the intersection of business and doing good for the world, an idea I explored working with a non-profit in NYC called the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship. There I learned how a non-profit strategically positions itself amidst myriad corporate entities to create a win-win scenario for all stakeholders. I also got the chance to interact with some of the coolest entrepreneurs and members of the tech startup ecosystem. This has inspired me to return to NYC and work with this incredible community to build products that make the world a better place.
