SAGE creates a world of diversity in the sound, shape & contours of his music. Listeners admire his depth & ability to portray a song that is both audible & visual in expression. A 21-year old producer, arranger, composer, ASCAP publisher, session player, guitarist, keyboardist & artist, w focus in electronic production & sound design, Sage fuels his passion for music. Inspiration & influence for Sage came from many artists & producers, most notably, the life long support of the late Leon Russell Wilkeson, (bassist: Lynyrd Skynyrd), drummer Artimus Pyle, & Jeff Beck, who heard him playing guitar at a friends house, encouraging him to pursue his talent. Sage spent his childhood on film sets, video shoots & in music studios w his parents. When Sage was still too young to hold a guitar, Waylon Jennings son, Shooter, showed Sage how to hold a guitar on his lap to play. A self styled innovator, at age eleven, Sage turned down the opportunity to record on a cd for Barry Harwood (writer; "Don't Misunderstand Me"& Skynyrds "Double Trouble") because "its not my style". Forte' on guitar is in the way his melodic lead riffs linger, staying w the listener throughout the day. SAGE now his own signature style, previously described as a mix of Santana & Eric Clapton. From hip hop recording, electronica, funk performance, writing 70's inspired rock, or playing a jazz tune, SAGE is the sound of Music today. In Sound Design, SAGE has a niche for electronica & writing beats. His eclectic ability to create musical art, gives perfection in a mesmerizing night at the club, or producing a rap CD. SAGE is Diverse. In Electronic Production & Design at Berklee, he also works w Brazilian Jazz, Metal, & guitar techniques w Tomo Fujita & others. Currently, SAGE is preparing his 1st solo EP, & in project collaboration w BNA hiphop producer, George Seals/Pretty Boy Beats. He is producer/composer for other artists incl: Mr Burnz/Interscope, Yoeshi/R.I.T.E., guitarist-JKap/R.I.T.E., & video game scores/Steve Goldshein. Early Berklee was spent performing w; 10-pc funk group: Mélange, Dave 1-2Austin & the Sound/folk, Terra Noctum & The Endless Script/grunge, Yoeshi/Indie Soul, & DJ for several events.
