"At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished… it’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better, it’s about what you’ve given back." -Denzel Washington

Hi, I'm Sahaja (Sa-hah-jha) Easy right? It's phonetic, so just say it how you spell it! :) Who am I?

Well, I’m originally the shade of a toasted marshmallow, but due to my love for playing tennis outdoors, I vary from hot chocolate to burnt ash over the course of the seasons. I’m pictured at a warm caramel macchiato stage. While the shades of my skin change, the essence of who I am remains my same witty, sarcastic, quirky, loving, family and friend-oriented self. As much as I value sticking to my morals and essence, I’m often venturing to try to new things- as I’ve stumbled upon the White Chocolate Mocha at Starbucks and loved it almost as much as I love romance novels. From the classics like Pride and Prejudice to small novels that warm to my heart like The Dysfunctional Test, I’m often huddled away under the comforts of my covers. I become immersed into the stories and form connections with the characters, much like how I connect with others through observation and listening. Quick on picking up body language and social cues, I learn to form unique connections with every person I encounter. Whether it be meeting people from the age old racquet and ball sport I’ve been playing since I was three and a half years old, making direct eye contact with people in the audience from the stage i’m speaking on, or learning from the adults at the law firm I love working at, human connection is the key to my happiness in life.

One day I hope to transform a few lives, but as for today I'm going to keep endeavoring this long, twisted, unknown road called life with many laughs, a few tears, several questions, some ambiguous answers, and a whole lot of love and passion.
