Sahan Maithripala

My name is Sahan Maithripala and I'm currently in grade 10 at Oakville Trafalgar High School. I have a lot of different interests and passions, including Astronomy and Chemistry. I also participate in extra-curriculars including Taekwondo and Acoustic Guitar. I reached black belt in August, 2011. I also just passed grade 5 in the RGT exams for Acoustic Guitar recently. I was born on February 26th, 1999. I also participate in a variety of cultural Buddhist events through drumming in the parades at the events. I've been doing that since the age if 10. Along with those experiences, I also attend Business meetings every month as a Vent in Scouts Canada. We help volunteer in a variety of events and even help younger Scouts and Cubs in camps. In school, I also participate in programming in the robotics club at school, and even participated in the badminton team for a month before the team disbanded. These work experiences and extra-curricular activities have helped me grow leadership, collaboration and responsibility skills in the workplace. I've also attained a positive attitude through my experiences, which is a great asset to any company or workplace. Throughout my life I've shown determination throughout the many things I've done, and with that said, I think I'm a well qualified candidate to many jobs offered to my age group.
