Sahba Keihani

Sahba Keihani, was born and raised in Tehran. Her father is Bahram Keyhani, lawyer and poet, and her mother is Tooba Ghaderi, a philosopher and teacher, who passed away when she was 18. One of her brothers is a musician and still lives in Tehran.

Growing up in a country where women have to fight for their very basic rights, dreaming of becoming an international actress and director was perceived unattainable! So, she left the country for Germany with the dream of becoming a free artist who would also be the voice of those who seek for freedom in Iran.

In 2012, in Belgium, she wrote, acted and directed the film “Shadow Of The Stone” which is about the stoning to death of a woman in Iran. Shadow of The Stone was selected and screened at Rome Independent Film Festival and Oberhausen International Short Film Festival in 2012. It also participated in Cannes Film Festival's Short Film Corner in 2013, and won an award in WVN Film Festival in Los Angeles in 2014.

Sahba studied Business Administration and Commercial Sciences at ICHEC Brussels Management School, Belgium. In 2014, she moved to United States and has resumed her studies in acting at Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles. She is fluent in English, French , Farsi, and German.
