Throughout his career Said has held senior leadership roles at some of the most prominent organisations across the global energy industry. Beginning his professional journey in 2001, as a Project Engineer at Société Shell du Maroc, he developed his skillset before progressing into a series of strategic positions within Shell International Trading. Working across London, Dubai, and Singapore, he led critical trading programs and oversaw Shell’s commercial activities, first as Trading Manager for Base Oils and Waxes, and later on as Lubricants Sales and Business Development Manager. His strong command of petroleum markets, combined with in-depth knowledge of global shipping and supply chain operations, contributed significantly to Shell’s competitiveness in complex markets throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

In 2015, Said joined Shell Trading Middle East, where he held the roles of Trading Manager for East and South Africa, and Senior Fuel Oil and Feedstock Trader. These roles had him playing a pivotal part in streamlining trading strategies and managing exposure to risk. He was also tasked with bringing their services across the region, delivering actionable market insights across varied countries. His proven leadership and ability to operate in volatile environments saw Said Addi grow into the position of Trading Manager at Gunvor Middle East DMCC, where he oversaw high-value transactions and developed strategies to navigate market volatility, geopolitical challenges, and supply constraints.

Now with E3 Energy Group, Said applies his vast experience in trading, risk management, and energy logistics to direct the company’s global fuel oil strategy. Maintaining an opportunity driven approach to energy trading, he can call on his deep understanding of the industry to find value for both the business and its clients, while strengthening long-term relationships with partners and stakeholders. He also serves as a trusted advisor to the board, offering strategic guidance on global market developments and fuel oil positioning.
