Sailesh Singhalis a Global Youth activist, community mobilizer, strategist & Social Entrepreneur advocating for accountability, transparency and youth engagement in the development discourse. In an effort to endorse Inter-Governmental, bi-partisan co-operation for egalitarian sustainability by promoting a cohesive framework for sustainable development. Sailesh is the National Coordinator for the LIFE W.G. in the G20 Civil (C20)-official engagement group of G20 – hosted by Government of India as its presidency for 2023.
Sailesh is the Co-Founder of Youth For Green Hydrogen, which brought together a network of young people from 78 countries. He has been invited as a Featured Youth Speaker along with UN Climate Change High- Level Champion for COP27, Hon. Minister of Republic of Indonesia for the Green Hydrogen Assembly4 co- hosted by Government of Spain. Sailesh chaired the world’s first youth declaration on Green Hydrogenand presented it among the world leaders in the Assembly which was adapted by an absolute resolution.
Sailesh Singhal is the Founder ofYouth of India Foundation, which has several accreditations from United Nations with teams spread across 16 states in India. Sailesh has been featured inUnited Nations Youth Flash Newsletterand has been interviewed byUnited Nations WebTV for his leadership in UnPlastic India for bringing 100,000 young women and men to take the pledge of eliminating the consumption of single-use plastic. He has been invited in the first-ever youth climate action summit during United Nations General Assembly and called for Global UnPlastic Day on September 17 with the support of various Head of States, Ministers of Environment, Ambassadors and many more. Youth of India is also a member of C20 (Civil 20 cohort of G20) 2022 hosted by Government of Indonesia.
Sailesh recently has been invited to speak on youth leadership in energy transition at the high-level climate conference COP27 co-hosted by UNFCCC and Government of Egyptin Sharm El-Sheikh.
Sailesh along with his team organised the Nepal relief campaign called “The Pocket Money Campaign” in 2015 which has been selected as one of the Top 5 World’s Best Campaignand has presented in the side-event of the UN General Assembly in 2015.
Sailesh has been appointed among the Y20 Community by the G20 Presidency of Saudi Arabia in 2020 and earlier has been in an official representation by India in theyouth summit of G20 on behalf of Government of India in 2017 in Germany.
