Sais is a born jeweller who has cultivated an intimate passion for fine art, since her childhood. As a young girl she was inspired by her mother, who is also a jeweller. Instead of playing with friends, or engaging in typical juvenile activities, she would spend her days following and observing her mother at work. She founded EG Fashion in 1998. Soon after, she met her life partner Faruq Muhammad who joined EG fashion full-time in 2004. Together they travel the country displaying her jewellery in galleries and boutiques. They opened their first show room in 2010, where they also teach classes.

Sais's Muse

"My mother has always fascinated me. She started me on this journey and has continues to be my muse. I would go to sleep watching her and dream about the day I could make jewellery, just like her. I thank the creator for allowing me to share my talent with the world. As a young woman, I foolishly let the gift slip from my hands and ran after things that were not fitting for me. Now I have come back to the path that leads me where I need to go. My art and my faith have been restored to me."

Sais sees jewels as fine art that display the sparkling beauty in gems with the elegance of gold and silver. Her creations are inspired by nature and its infinite array of colors, textures and forms. Currently she's studying fashion design. In the years to come her passion and talent will only increase.
