Stuart Jack

I am married to Christina and have two kids - Caleb and Sienna. I have been a Christian since the age of 19 and am a reformed evangelical in my theology.

My background is in Medical Biophysics - basically a blend of medicine and engineering. I worked at the Alfred hospital (one of the main hospitals in Melbourne, Australia) for about 6 years before ending up in my current role as Territory Manager for CareFusion Australia selling the equipment I used to operate on in the hospital. The flexibility of my work is great which helps me to make time to spend with my family and be involved at church.

I have been actively involved in church life for the last 10 years. I am currently involved in the leadership at Hills Bible Church. I became a Christian through Bible Study Fellowship. This is an nondenominational, international Bible Study program. It has solid bible teaching... no fluffy stuff here! Growing up I thought I was a Christian because I believed in Jesus, but it wasn't until I attended BSF that I realised being a Christian meant repenting of my sin and accepting Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Life has brought many changes ever since, the greatest blessing being meeting my wife Christina and having our two kids. What a change kids make on your life... a great blessing but oh so challenging!!!

We both love entertaining and having friends and family over for dinner. We enjoy getting to know people and building relationships. I enjoy sport, in particular Australian Rules Football. I support Hawthorn and enjoy going to the footy with my mates. I also enjoy watching movies, operating and understanding how computer gadgets/technology work and relaxing and travelling with my family. Being a Christian has changed my life. To learn how much I need to be saved from the punishment of my sin before our holy God, continues to humble me daily and cause me to realise what a sacrifice Jesus made to purchase my salvation. The mercy He imparts onto my life continues to challenge me in how I honour Him, but also to be patient and understanding of where others are at.

A saying I continue to appreciate more and more is "the day you stop wanting to learn, is the day you will". Life is full of opportunities to learn from mistakes and make a difference in your life and the lives of others. Our failures are opportunities to mature and not despair.
