Sajid Ahmed
Dr. Sajid Ahmed is currently Program Manager, responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of international project assignments including accreditation related-service delivery since 2006. He is also responsible for managing the development of the Qmentum International accreditation program. He has over ten years of experience in varied healthcare settings. From 2001 to 2006, Dr. Ahmed was a quality director at an international multi-specialty secondary care hospital. During this time, he was instrumental in the development of the quality and risk management program in this hospital. It was during his stint that the hospital achieved accreditation for the first time. Dr. Ahmed also has experience in managed care having worked as a executive medical officer from 2000 to 2001 for a corporate multi national healthcare firm. Dr. Ahmed holds a Masters in Hospital Administration from the ASCI - Hinduja Institute of Healthcare Management in association with Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Baltimore, USA. He also holds a medical degree from the Mysore Medical College, University of Mysore, India. He is a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders, American College of Healthcare Executives and American National Association of Healthcare Quality. He also is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the Healthcare Quality Certification Board, USA. He also holds certifications in patient safety and risk management. He has completed a professional certificate in non profit marketing from Carleton University, Canada. He has successfully delivered several training sessions in healthcare quality and patient safety globally. He has participated and presented papers on healthcare quality and management at national and international conferences and has also worked with others to publish a book. Dr. Ahmed was selected as an abstract reviewer for the Canadian National Healthcare Leadership Conference held in June 2010 in Winnipeg, Canada. Dr. Ahmed family includes wife and a daughter.
