Azola Sakeni
Student and Volunteer in Johannesburg
Hey, my name is Azola Sakeni, a 3rd-year student residing in the vibrant city of Johannesburg, with roots tracing back to the beautiful rural areas of the Eastern Cape. I am currently pursuing my education degree, majoring in Life Orientation and History. I am passionate about shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning. My philosophy as a future teacher centers around creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and empathy. I believe that every student has a unique story to tell, and it's my role as an educator to help them find their voice and develop their own perspectives. As a strong believer in the transformative power of education, I am committed to making a positive impact on the lives of my students.
Outside of academics, I find solace in music, reading, and basketball, which not only bring me joy but also help me stay focused and motivated. I am also a passionate singer and enjoy expressing myself through music. In my free time, I am a member of the WITS ASF Choir, where I not only sing but also nurture my relationship with God. Growing up in the rural areas of the Eastern Cape has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the importance of education in breaking down barriers and creating opportunities. As a student, I have come to realize the significant impact that education can have on individuals and society as a whole. My goal is to become a teacher who inspires and empowers students to reach their full potential while making a meaningful difference in the world around them. I am excited to embark on this journey and share my passion for learning with others.
