​Şakir Yildirim was born in September 9 th, 1983 at North Cyprus. Ever since his childhood, he’s been into drawing and shaping on the pavements. His talent was first discovered by a teacher at the drawing contest among primary schools. At high school, a teacher of his directed him to study Plastic Shaping and ceramics. He reinforced his education by practising a lot at the school’s workshop throughout his high school years. As he continued to study ceramics at Ege University; he added graphic animation, graphic design, illustration and photography to his ceramic arts.

In 2002, he started working as an intern designer at Limitless Agency which was directed by Halil Ibrahim Yildirim. In 2004 he returned to his original country and continued his career at Inci BTL Advertising Agency as a junior graphic designer. Meanwhile he discovered deviant.com portal where he soon uploaded vintage photography works, and leaded the vintage culture which was not even popular yet at those times. He combined digital dark room discipline with his compact cameras and grabbed attention with this photography. He also worked at 4 different magazines at Cyprus as well as testing himself in the video sector. He moved to Istanbul in 2012; and for 6 years he has been working as a Senior Art Director at Wanda Digital which is one of the significant agencies in the advertising sector.
