Gagan Saksena

Gagan Saksena is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in technology and business solutions, product management, business development, marketing and strategy. He is currently the CEO/Founder of Ideascopic- a startup focused on building analytics and insights from foot traffic in retail locations.

Previously he was Vice President, Marketing and Business Development at Feder8, Inc. His key contributions at Feder8 included creating the core business model- allowing small businesses to successfully market through word-of-mouth. He was also responsible for revamping product strategy, marketing, and running the operations.

Before that, he was Technical Account Manager at Google, Inc., where he managed the technical relationship of Google and its strategic partners with over $100 million annual revenue. He joined Google as a Software Engineer and helped build key tools for large-scale advertisers. He also put together a successful team for making Google applications accessible. Before joining Google, Inc. he worked at Netscape as a Principal Software Engineer where he developed artificial intelligence bots for AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) platform and as a Senior Technical Manager, managed the development of the networking library in use for all Mozilla based browsers including Firefox.

He holds an MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor in Technology from IIT Kanpur, India. He is very well versed in various aspects of software development, specifically for web applications. In his spare time he likes to hack in Python.
