SALAMA AFRICA: Intercultural Youth Center
” The word ‘Salama’ is an Afro-Arabic word which simply means ‘Peace and Tranquility’. This word is one of the most used in all Africa. As a Swahili word it is used in all the East part of Africa and a part of the center, and as an Arabic concept it is used in all the Maghreb and same of the Western African countries.
SALAMA AFRICA: IYC is an Intercultural, Charity, Non-religious, Apolitical, and Non-profitable organization working in/for the Intercultural and Educational domains, Health and Environment protection, and Community development by fighting extreme poverty.
The main purpose of the organization is to gather and campaign margin young people and children in order to awake their collective conscious by developing their intercultural potentials and energies of artistic and scientific imagination and creativity for improving their living conditions and for a positive transformation of their communities.
• FINANCE
The activities of the organization are financed and supported by:
- The contribution and membership fee from its members,
- The financial added values from the organization’s activities production,
- Donation, aids, and assistance from charitable individuals and organizations, partner or non-partner organizations, and
- Subventions from state institutions.
