Matthew Salesses was born in Korea He is the author of THE HUNDRED-YEAR FLOOD, an Amazon Best Book of September, a Kindle First pick, and a Best Book at Buzzfeed, Refinery29, Gawker, AskMen.com, Adoptive Families, and others. His previous books include I'M NOT SAYING, I'M JUST SAYING and THE LAST REPATRIATE. His writing has appeared in NPR Code Switch, The New York Times Motherlode, Salon, The Toast, The Millions, The Rumpus, PEN/Guernica, American Short Fiction, and over fifty others, and has received awards from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, Glimmer Train, Mid-American Review, PANK, Inprint, and IMPAC, among others. He earned his MFA from Emerson College, where he edited Redivider, in December 2009. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Literature & Creative Writing at the University of Houston. He has two books forthcoming: OWN STORY (essays, 2017) and THE MURDER OF THE DOPPELGANGER (a novel, 2018), both from Little A/Amazon.
