Dr. Sallie Hildebrandt has been in independent practice since 1987. She served CPA in many roles including GAC chair and CPA President in both 2004 and 2011. She developed a membership program and formed the Governance Task Force to shrink the CPA Board in 2011. In between those stints she was Chair of Division I in 2006, during which she developed the idea for sections increasing the Division’s membership. Subsequently she developed the idea for a multidisciplinary Health Care Reform summit which took place in September 2012. She is a founding member and current Chair of Division V (Clinical Psychopharmacology). In addition, she served on the APA Council and Board of (State, Provincial, and Territorial Associations) and is its current President. She has always been a strong advocate for psychologists and their patients. Her clinical interests include behavioral medicine, cognitive behavioral therapy and sexual therapy.
