Sallie Peake

During her years in public service, Sallie Peake held council positions with the municipalities of Spartanburg and Wellford, SC. With the latter community for seven years, Sallie Peake worked in tandem with other city council members in actively representing the needs of constituents. Her aim was to ensure that the decision-making process served the best interests of all members of the Wellford, SC, community.

In the course of eight years on the Spartanburg County Council, Ms. Peake guided a diversity of ongoing projects through chairing a number of committees. Her responsibilities included budget reviews and the presentation of recommendations to administrative leaders. She excelled at team building and strove to maintain positive relationships with local taxpayers and ratepayers. She also ensured that emergency planning requirements were fulfilled.

An active member of the Ushers Ministry, Sallie Peake participates in the Sympathy Club and Missionary Circle, as well as the Order of Eastern Star. Having served as treasurer of the ministry, Ms. Peake has also engaged with the Union of Churches as a Food Committee member.
