Salma El-Wardany

Born in a remote village in Egypt to an Irish mother. Raised in Newcastle with a Pakistani father, became a Scout, trekked the world, gained a degree and Masters, moved to Egypt, worked on a farm in a distant region, and finally arrived in Cairo just in time for its revolution. However, curfew and political unease can only take you so far, and so two years later I swapped the desert sands for the corporate landscape of London where I reside today, in between the tax man and my dreams.
