A shared living paradigm involves a pattern of lifestyle where people live together. In this particular paradigm, they may have individual houses for privacy, but utilities like kitchen and laundry are shared. If more budget is expended, you may add further facilities like parks, restaurants, gyms, libraries, or cinema halls exclusively for the community members.

The impression of Coliving Manifesto

Penny Clark, a shared living consultant at Conscious Coliving, writes in a guest blog that it was after discussions with coliving operators and developers that a need arose to create the coliving manifesto.

Coliving organizations were unaware of the large implications of coliving, and their strategies were not sustainable both economically and environmentally. The living paradigm was not up to the standard and by no means fulfilled the purpose of coliving.

What benefit did the coliving manifesto provide?

The manifesto on the other hand gave them an opportunity for a paradigm shift. Those developers could run their coliving business with innovative strategies and design tactics that would not only prove fruitful to their business, but enhance the living conditions of the people choosing the coliving life, and bringing about the real change that coliving initially intended to.

How should the Coliving Manifesto be used?

Penny Clark after giving us the purpose and need of a manifesto for coliving, tells us how it should be used. Gladly, it is not as hard as many would assume it to be.
