Born in Boston Massachussetts and moved out to Rockland Massachussetts at age 8. In 1975 I joined the US Navy and spent two years in New London fixing submarines and the next few years after that chasing them on a brand new Spruance Class Destroyer (USS Cushing DD985).

Met the love of my life Ellie two days after I signed the papers to join the Navy. We have two great children. Our elder child is a Paraprofessional who works with special needs children. Our son joined the Navy and is his last year before discharge.

Interest? Lots of them.

I brew beer as a hobby although you wouldn't know it since it has been a very long time since I've made a batch.. I tend towards Belgian Ales, IPAs and Stouts.

I am an avid cook. I can eat at a restaurant and go home and replicate what I had. I like to cook neaerly everything considered Southern even if my dietary restrictions tell me I can't eat the finished product. I also love to cook Asian (Phillipion, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Japanese) as well as Tuscan and German. I am NOT a baker though and my last attemts and bread resulted in a product that could make great building material.

I fish when I can, mostly salt water. I do chase the odd large mouth bass in fresh water though.

My wife and I together train dogs in obedience, rally, nose works and agility. Currently we have two aging Cocker Spaniels (Moose and Basil), an aging Australian Cattle Dog (Cosette) and younger Australian Cattle Dog (Bosun) and our wild child English Shepherd (Luna).

I am also an aspring Science Fiction author currently working on a very ambitious project chronicalling man's ascent to the stars. (my science fiction blog)

Because I want to be self publishing I have been dabbling in 3D rendering to create cover art and illustrations for my books. I'm not very good at it yet, but I'm working on it.

I am currently the vice president of an agility club called "JAG."

I am Past Commander of American Legion Post 346 Neptune Department of New Jersey.

Side interests include photography, electronics, wood working and I am constantly reading.
