Sam Spall

Amherst, Massachusetts, United States

My name is Sam Spall and I am currently a junior at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in the Isenberg School of Management. I'm from Hingham, Massachusetts and have three younger brothers. For the past five summers, I have been a beach lifeguard and am looking forward to entering the corporate world. I am majoring in Finance with an anticipated minor in Economics.

I have always had a passion for helping people and have been looking forward to the day when I can make a career out of it. One of my most rewarding experiences was volunteering to help coach a Massachusetts Special Olympics swim team. Having the opportunity to see the joy in the faces of those kids everyday made me realize that I wanted to make a career in helping others.

I have always seen myself working for a non profit organization like St. Judes. When I was a senior in high school, I was able to raise $700 to donate to St. Judes for my senior project and have applied to intern with them this summer. I have always believed that I should use my knowledge of finance and business to help others and I feel like this is the most rewarding way to make a living. One day I even hope to run my own non profit organization.
