Sam is part of Ironwood Cancer and Research Centers, a large and growing multi-specialty private practice in Phoenix, AZ. Previously, he was a board certified radiation oncologist for several years in Texas. He completed his undergraduate studies in bioengineering at Olin College on a full tuition scholarship and received his MD from Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Baylor College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident.

His technical expertise includes 3D-CRT, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, Gamma Knife, CyberKnife, and LINAC-based radiosurgery, adaptive radiotherapy, brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceutical therapy. Having advised medical device companies and co-authored papers in Cell and Nature Genetics, he has a strong understanding of biomedical research and new technology, which he combines with his broad clinical experience to create a personalized treatment plan for his patients.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys hiking the many trails around the Phoenix metro area, and spending time with his wife.
