Sam Young

I am outgoing and confident, with over 12 years' experience based in ICT Support. I am highly motivated and have excellent organisational skills, allowing me to work either on my own, to manage or be part of a team. I enjoy helping people and find reward in using logic to solve problems.

In my current role I am responsible for project management, migration and mobilisation of facility management contracts to the CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) software IBM Maximo 7. This role requires analysis of work flows in order to improve and make lean contract processes before mobilisation.

I am experienced at implementing project management techniques to ensure client expectations are met, and exceeded, effectively and to agreed deadlines. With excellent communication skills, I am experienced at liaising with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels to meet targets in a professional and efficient manner.

I have comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and CAFM Systems such as Maximo 7, Planon and Isiom. Additionally, I am experienced in providing support for many software packages including Microsoft Office. In my current role, I am the company's expert in delivering support for a number of bespoke packages, for which I have sole responsibility. I also have considerable hardware related knowledge that allows me to be effective in solving most computer issues.

Whilst I have developed extensive knowledge throughout my years of employment, I am always eager to continue my learning and development as evidenced by my attendance of various training courses. Training courses I have attended recently include: Tibco Nimbus process mapping, 4 x MCSA Courses, City & Guilds Training the Trainer and Troubleshooting ICT. In my personal time I completed the CACDP (Signature) level 1 British Sign Language course. I am a keen amateur photographer - examples of my work are here.
