A journalist by profession and an artist by choice, Saman Leema’s work reflect the influence of her heritage and her deep love of nature begun in her childhood. Entirely self-taught, Saman Leema has worked with many media, excelling in watercolours and glass paintings that actually look like stained glass windowpanes.

Her mosaic work includes all kinds of geometrical shapes to make a painting come to life.

She has visited faculties and universities to tutor students in glass painting and mosaic.
Saman Leema’s passion for natural beauty shows through in her watercolour, oil and silk paintings. The earth, the sky, the trees and even stones all seem to change colour with the strokes of her brush.
