Samantha Dupler
Hi, my name is Sam. I'm a writer, reader, and pork bun eater who's based in Brooklyn and spends too much money on graphic novels.
I've written for places like Digg.com, Lucky Magazine's website and Epicurious.com, and have gotten lucky enough to do some cool things for them like delve into the online fandom behind Nancy Drew computer games, interview Doctor Who's Karen Gillan about time-traveling in style, and cover New York Comic Con from a food-themed angle. (Ended up finding an awesome cookie/comic book seller there to talk to: a much better story than a Q&A with the overpriced hot dog guy.)
Branded content is also my jam: I've worked with clients that range from mega-sized non-profits to online makeup retailers to help develop a loud n' proud voice that's clear across all content platforms. Blogs, tweets, Insta posts, smoke signals...whatever you need, I've got.
I also run my own Tumblr blog called Doctor Who Problems where I post original articles, create video content, and just generally geek out several times a week to my rapidly-growing audience (currently at over 90,000 followers).
When I'm not chained to my computer, I moonlight as a girl who likes collecting business cards with cool typography, can make a mean pierogi from scratch, and whose personal style is a little more Nancy Drew than Nancy Spungen.
Want me to write some words for you? Want to talk about blog stuff? Neat, same here. Contact me about freelance work or collaborations of all kinds right here: [email protected].
