Samantha Angela Marie Ambas

Indang, Cavite

My family and I. Samantha Angela Marie Ambas y Escalante; I am SAM to my family and friends which is obviously taken from the first letter of my three names. I grew up in my grannies' old house in Kayquit, Indang under my grandmother's care. Being the only niece of my generous aunt, I was showered with presents regularly. I was a spoiled little kid, and I enjoyed that status for seven years until my brother, Gian Paolo, came into the family in March 2007. My parents were never partial to us even after my baby sister, Margarita Ysabel, was born in October 2012.

Childhood. My childhood depicts a happy one. In 2003 at the bright age of 3, I was already enrolled at Spirit Wings learning center where I learned children's songs and spend my afternoons watching Land before Time stories at home. Most of my weekends included monotonous trips to Makati, with the purpose of visiting my favorite aunt, malling, shopping, and eating out. It pretty much stayed that way for some time.

Once kindergarten was over, I entered a new school at Trece Marties City where I finished my grade school. My life at Dei Gracia Academy was picture perfect at that point: I was doing great at school, I was getting my hands on a new talent and I was developing cool and bigtime friendship. Only that every start has its wittingly end, but none that I regret.

Adolescence. At the tender age of 12 I moved at the big campus after confidently hitting the number one spot of the entrance examination. The first year was tough including the schedule and projects, the new surroundings, new set of classmates and lecturers. I find myself in wonderment after surviving a year at the Science Highschool, and everyday becomes a new challenge for me.

In my freetime, I open a book and read or go out of town with my family. On weekend nights, I enjoy the limitless coffee trips in Tagaytay. Other than that, I'd easily find ways to keep myself occupied.

What comes next? I am now at my 2nd year in highschool and I look forward to achieve something bigger. After this phase I'd like to pursue a medical related curriculum, but I'm still not sure on it. I just might change my mind and do otherwise, although I haven't come up with what that something else could be.

I hope you have enjoyed reading my youthful life story as much as I have enjoyed writing it for you.
